This weeks highlights! :

-made £50 quid by switching bank to HBOS
( minus £2 for parking in the town centre)
-Washed my clothes
-Found out that speed cameras don’t work if you drive a stealth bomber.

The course is going well! Here is a piece from my teacherstv.com video reviews, “In the coaching scene, even the music reflects the funny nature of the voice coach’s directions, yet Gurpreet is not amused by the very visual, imaginative directions given to him -“be like Spiderman!…SHHHHHHHHHWOOOP…have a fire in your eyes…be like dragon…make a sound…look over there and put it on fire with your hand…extend colours of painters palette…show me ‘WOW’ with your face’, she says to him.” -personally I think this woman must have swallowed a mortal kombat DVD box set or something, but as you can see, I really had fun. Also, I am definitely copying Andy Smiths games “loop of fury” and “word above head game” but I’ll give him credit!

We are currently studying the history of teaching, I’m finding it quite interesting, but then I had the more personal touch of my Dad telling me about it. “BAKER!? he’s the one who took away 5 days of our holiday a year! Is he still alive?! – yes he is!? – great! -we can kill him slowly!” (please note my father does not actually wish to kill Kenneth Baker) I enjoyed the first proper tutorial, I love technical hiccups of an online tutorial: “oh sorry, I didn’t mean to raise my hand” won’t ever get old. I recorded the proceedings and played them back but I wriggle in agony to the sound of my own voice, lets hope the children feel the same – perhaps another reason to become a teacher, as I have mentioned before- legal torture.

Good news, I had a vote in my favour for becoming a teacher last week…. A friend of mine called up, she needed windows XP reinstalling on her computer, she knows a lot about RnB music, stilettos and the Mcdonalds daily specials (surprisingly she is slim) but knows very little about computers. I mean she thought that an LCD screen was some kind of drugs test :/. I began to write out the instructions in an email and solutions to every possible problem I saw could arise, but after writing 30 bullet points I trashed the letter and I drove for 2 hours to Liverpool and did it myself. Whilst there I nipped up to Saint Helens to decorate my Aunties sitting room, and rescued a cat from a tree with a football. Getting back on topic, my friend asked if she could keep her programs, I said unfortunately not and explained she would have to completely reinstall all programs (C.R.A.P) and she said exactly this, “Dan Dan Dan, you are so good at explaining things in a way I can understand!”. I said “You’re good at understanding things I explain”, she said “huh?”. So there you have it, I can explain stuff, and she can now C.R.A.P by herself.

However, this isn’t news to me since my oldest sister, I have twin sisters so she is only oldest by eight minutes, needs quite a bit explaining to her. So when ever we get something new, a new shower, a new vacuum, a new television, we have to put her through a program of special high intensity training (S.H.I.T). Now you would expect twins to learn equally as fast, but you’d be wrong because my oldest sister has had to go through far more S.H.I.T.

I am currently in france on l’internet bas debt terrible, AKA painfully slow 56k working at about 44k. Having said that it stops me watching prison break since it would take about 6 months to buffer 1 episode. So I will get back to u Monday when back in uk if not before.

I can safely report that I have checked the supermarkets and the French are still selling frozen garden snails, -eww la la. Add to that they stuff them with what looks like snot to make them even less appealing. Haven’t seen any frogs legs for sale, but whilst we were watching an ad for ‘life in cold mud’ (or is it cold blood? the one about the frogs and reptiles and the British institution that is sir David at king borough )…. anyway, whilst watching it our neighbours were around and I noticed one of them begin to drool.
